Today's quick lick is all about utilising the major 7th arpeggio! In this case we are using a C major 7th arpeggio, which we spread across the neck, rather than in one shape on the fretboard. This allows us to fly from low to high, and end our lick in the pentatonic box 5 (A shape box) pulling back to our more familiar pentatonic sounds. This is a great way to jump out of your pentatonic shapes to highlight the major 7th sound, and can be done over any chord in the key (although it does sound amazing over the 1 and the 4 chord).
