Thank you very much, I think I kept accidentally turning this on with the keyboard command, then putting up with it until I accidentally turned it back off again! Happened again this morning so I took to YT to see if I could find the answer, like you said most people talk about the general skimming option, but this is something else entirely. Thanks. I was puzzled by this too. Clip Skimming wasn't ticked but Skimming was. I just unticked that and it worked.

I was looking for a video that had to do with the normal play head, not the small red line, I'm not experiencing that. How do you move the normal play head without holding it down and dragging it? Mine used to move normally just by me moving my mouse but now it doesn't for some reason. If you have any idea how to fix it, it'd be so helpful!
