A note for over 60 beginners:
In my expierience for men beginners over the age of 60, the 12k is the upper limit for some movements.
After 6 or 12 months of strengthening and skill we can go to 12k.

If you can, go to a local gym and see if they have any kettlebells you can use. Do some swings with proper form. If it's too hard to even lift from the ground, them you know you need to go lighter. Then order some online once you know. The heavier you start with, the less likely you'll stick with your program as a beginner. Use the goldilocks rule, not too light, but not too heavy, just enough to challenge you a bit, but not to where it hurts you.

I read similar advice. I didn’t think I was particularly strong so I started with a 12 and a 16kg. The 16 is still really useful for things like windmills and Turkish get ups simply because they are so unstable. The majority of the ‘big’ exercises I’ve now graduated to a 24kg and I’ve got a real sense of achievement from it. Good videos btw, always short, snappy and effective. More complexes though please! 😊👍🏻

Funny how after searching through YouTube, I didn't find this recommendation until after I ordered. Think this recommendation is spot on for getting 2 or 3. I have a nice hardstyle 20 kg that I use for swings. Ordered a 16 and 18 competition bells. Wanted to get 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24. Wife said no. If I do well with these, I will get the other 3.

I was in good enough shape to score quite well on the Air Force PT test while stationed in Virginia. So, I assumed that meant I was strong. I started training at an IKFF associated gym in Norfolk. The gym owner told me to buy a pair of 14kg bells. I mentioned about getting strong like a Russian man...he said more like a Russian woman 😂. Humble pie doesn't taste good but it is a motivator for sure. Love the 24kg hard style KB Kings kettlebell I bought this yr BTW. Thanks!

Great video....I use Kettle Bell Kings products because of the balance and grip...they are superior for sure....as for me I have to work around old injury's so I go as heavy as I can until I cannot control the Luck out there

Thank you for the tip for women. But I am training on 15lbs, 25lbs, and 35lbs. I am looking to increase. What would be the next increments to raise the weights. I have been training for the past 4 months. Thank you

I realize I can go to the Google and do the conversion please use pounds as well as kilos. I have no idea how much weight 16 kg is. Sounds like a lot of cocaine.
