When I left the corporate world, I packed up almost all of it, except for a few specifically chosen pieces for job interviews or funerals. I donated it all to charities helping women, 'Dress for Success'. This type of charity can be found throughout our country. Don't let Goodwill be your first donation drop off. Make a positive difference in someone else's life. This made it all easier to let go when downsizing.

OMG: please Ms Tina, repeat it over & over; again & again..to discard clothes that DO NOT FIT OUR LIFE anymore!
Out of gilt, melancholy( as you say it so well), we do NOT give oneself
PERMISSION to get rid of them without being filled with remorse up to the roof!!!
Therefore, pointing this IMPORTANT and foremost point that our clothes MUST FIT our CURRENT LIFE...makes the DIFFERENCE in the world to let go (with the sense of permission to do so! ;), to me, anyhow!
