Louis - you’re amazing and can’t help but wonder…in my early 40s, I had my first mental health dip and I added a bunch of wellness goals (as you described) and I only realized in hindsight it was the exact wrong thing to do…I burnt out totally. If I could offer some gentle advice; take your sleep seriously and allow yourself to slow down and be ok to have some spaciousness. Doing more is not always the answer. Any day now Louis, you are so close!!! Costa Rica is such a miracle of a landscape; I was very lucky to get to visit, though for only a few days for work with Starbucks. Getting out on the coffee farm we all joked that just being there was therapy because the air smells so clean and earthy and fresh you cant help but take long, slow, deep breaths. The biodiversity is just unlimited there, we saw so many different animals and I even found a tree that grows in my home town there! I cannot think of a greater community to raise a little one in; Costa Rica famously folded their military and took that money and put it directly into their education system. The people are so intelligent, so full and kind hearted, and so giving. I'm stoked for you all to be a part of that, your huge hearts will fit right in. Sending you and the family the utmost supreme good energy for this year and for starting the journey of making your home!!!

Edited to add; You and your buddy Nate (Kara and Nate, Nate. I'm not going to butcher spelling his last name haha) should definitely do a physical challenge together this year!! He's always thinking up and finding new and crazy challenges.

What about a Northern American Electric Loop? Drive around the U.S. & Canada in the electric VW bus. There is a beautiful trail here in British Columbia at Mount Robson called the Berg Lake Trail.

When flying make sure he is either feeding from Mom or bottle it has a pacifier you take off and landing to be sure his ears stay open.

I'm so excited for you all to go back to Costa Rica! My babies both loved the emergency procedure cards on the plane! LOL! We also had little snacks and new little toys for them. Every hour or when needed we'd give them a new little item they've never seen before. The novelty keeps them interested.

Would love to see you connect with the YTs Carly Rowena and Leon Busty. They recently made the jump from the UK to Costa Rica to test the waters. Leon is an incredible runner

Looking forward too all your plans. Family trips, DYI projects and so on. My biggest suggestion for flying with a 9mon old is having Neo suck on a bottle or pacifier during take off and about 15 mintues before and during landing. It helps equalize the pressure in the babies ears. I have 3 kids and have done alot of air travel with them and this has always worked. No crying babies due to hurting ears! ❤❤❤
