Jewish Denominations Explained 🤓 | animated explainer

Did you wonder what the difference is between Orthodox and Hasidic Jews? Were you confused by words like Haredi, Hasidic, Ultra-orthodox, Satmar, Lubavich, etc?

In this two minute animated explainer, I try to answer these questions as clearly as possible!

I adore the Frieda caricature in this short . Aside from that, the explainer is so important and easy to understand. Thanks for doing this😊

As I think the comments will show, many if not all of these categories or groups are blurry at the edges. There are ppl who sit somewhere between Yeshivish and Modern Orthodox (ex: Ner Yisroel, Right-Wing Yeshiva University, or Hardal in Israel), there are those who are somewhere between Hassidic and Yeshivish (ex: Oberlander Hungarians, or ppl referred to as "haymish"), and even those who sit between Hassidic and Modern Orthodox (ex: Chabad).
It's the hard-to-define nature of these divisions that makes it such a fun topic to discuss.
