I am a 1 e4 player developing a repertoire, and I noticed that the Caro Kann is the only one of the Big Four sound replies (1...e5, 1...c5, and 1...e6 being the others) where Black does not have a dangerous counterattack I need to be concerned about if I played a solid Main Line with White. Hikaru clearly and distinctly explained not only why, but explained the need for repertoire choice to beat players a class below us and not just those above us. Thanks for the free lesson!
