KTM invited me to join them in Ohio for the 2024 Enduro Model Launch. I got to ride the 150, 250, and 300 XC-W. I also rode the 450 XCF-W model. Here is what I learned that day.

Here is my website. You should check it out!

I still think is a big mistake to not retain the kickstarter. It's also a mistake to not build the electrical system so you don't have to depend on the battery like a snowmobile doesn't.
I know competitors that broke battery cables during hard enduros and that put the rider DNF.

I wish they would put a kickstart back on them

Having an oil pump on these bikes is nonsense. Having an oil pump adds weight, complexity, and cost, and reduces overall reliability, which is exactly what you don’t want in an off-road bike. You don’t ride these bikes to the gas station to fill up the tank, you fill them from gas cans. Terrible decision by KTM. Remove oil pumps, bring back the 200 engine, and include kick starters. Make 2 strokes great again!

Interesting that you say that the rider cockpit is more cramped now. A very important detail that no other reviewer has mentioned at this stage. I have the 2020 model and the rider triangle is just so perfect for me, it was one of the things that sold me on the bike. I'm sure that you will get a 2024 model at some stage and I look forward to see if you find a way to open the triangle up, Lower pegs for example. Great review, appreciate it.

I used to say that I would be good getting a 17 but now I'm convinced I need to wait for a 23 or 24. I guess my 08 will have to last a little while longer!

This bike would be a great birthday present for myself! Good to know KTM is still improving, especially with the suspension!

KTM lost their way when they dropped the 200. The 150 is POINTLESS.

Haven't ridden the 24 KTM new fork, but, saying its the best production out of the box fork is a stretch...KYB holds that place and needs to be knocked off before we can crown a new King

I'm happy that I bought a 2023 KTM 300xc. Once I get the suspension done it seems like it will be the best of both worlds.

My problem is I am at a point in my life where I don't need to be stranded after a breakdown on my new bikes. My concerns are they haven't sorted out the niggles which I believe will continue to happen on very low hour bikes as they have been a few caught out with no dealership help (id be pissed with that after $20, 000 spent) it looks like quality control went on holiday lol. Reliability is king provided it's close enough on power etc for a non racer to enjoy riding vs pushing the bike lol. I have not put enough hours on the KTM husky to give more feedback

The EPA force made them too expensive. They has nothing on my 2-stroke YZ250 that I set up for the woods.
Speed shifter? You can do the same by letting off the gas a tinge for a up-shift and back on again. Yea, it is faster than fanning the clutch. I figured it out in 1984. lol
It is just a dirt bike and my YZ is amazing, (now that it is not too tall). More complexity/cost/maintenance is simply not worth it to me. We are going to price the sport to death.
I guess nothing good lasts forever.

Forks better than stock KYB's that come on Sherco/Beta/Yamaha??? Thats a pretty bold statement

My problem with KTM is they're getting REALLY proud of their bikes, and the price tag shows. $11, 000 for a 150? Come, TF, on. I know the YZ125X hasn't changed much in years, but still. It's $7100. Even the Gas Gas EC 250 is the same price.

After riding my brothers 24xc can confirm the turning radius runs much tighter than my 22 tx300.

Someone please tell me why everyone seems to be forgetting to mention the fact that the new 24 model 350excf’s are 9kg!!! Heavier than the previous year models…

I have the 2024 300 XC-W. Put it to you this way... My son says it's an old man bike. It's like a Cadillac compared to our other bikes. I have overheated it once and punched a hole through the clutch cover, so yes, I have beat on it.

Raising the foot pegs is a huge red flag for me. I already run lowered foot pegs & bar risers on my 21 300. The triangle already favors shorter riders with shorter legs, why make it worse for us taller, long limbed riders?

Awesome video! I enjoy your input on how you feel about the 2024, I love my 23 xcw250 and will always keep it but this 24 xcw already has me sold, I can't wait to get one

Based on the near total lack of videos of you on the TM, I’m guessing you haven’t bonded with it very well?

1st I would buy a 24' 250 or 300 xc-w because of the front fork spring suspension. 2nd oil pump helps me, and i also think the oil pump keeps pumping oil when you let off the throttle at high speeds, helping longevity.
