Woah, different cameraman! Makes a world of difference when you can see the equations.

great teacher! What book do the lectures suggest we use - what is the name of the economics book I can utilize? Can anyone help?

At what point should I expect the calculus to be challenging? So far I haven't really seen any roadblocks.

You know what's stupid, students can't go on to take Math 2e after this course. So, UCI stops economics majors from continuing their math education unless they repeat the the material again in math 2d. That's just really stupid.

You know what would be smart? Open up math 2e with math 4 as a pre-req, or, combine math 2d, math 4 and math 3a into one course and use "Vector Calculus" by Susan Jane Colley as the textbook, supplemented by "Linear Algebra and it's applications" by David Lay. Now that would be smart. Just saying UCI, you drop the ball big time by assuming Econ students don't want to learn more math than required. And, you force freshmen into picking a major too early or force them into repeating the same material multiple times just in case they decide to switch a major next year. It's not right or fair to assume things in the lower division classes like this.
