I want to work for America's Test Kitchen. Sounds like a blast.

Get real, ATK!! Who the hell has $300 to spend on a piece of Made In cookware? Every time I see one of their obnoxious ads, I want to throw something. How about an ATK "best buy" saute pan?

Lol, the only thing they DIDN'T do was actually live up to their title and answer about differences between these and a skillet. 🤦🏼‍♂

I find saute pans to be a happy medium between a skillet and a dutch oven; very useful even though there's a good amount of overlap between them all.

I have an Al clad sauté pan and my wife and I use it more than any other pan. It’s a great pan and cooks everything very very well.

Almost all of my pans are All Clad I’m set for Life and trust my children will be happy too!

I have two sautees that I liked a lot when I was on a gas range. The slightly convex bottom snuggled in the burner and kept them centered over the flame. But now I'm on one of those glass top radiant electrics that _really_ wants a flat bottom pan. When you do reviews, could you talk about how flat the bottoms are? A shallow curve is okay -- for gas.

I feel like the title of this video (“What’s the difference between a skillet and sauté pan”) is a bit misleading. This video was helpful overall in what to look for in a sauté pan, but it wasn’t about the difference between the two. A minor change in phrasing such as, “how to choose a good vs. great sauté pan” seems more suitable for the content.

I really wish that your tests also determined how flat the bottom of the pans are, especially after being exposed to hot and cold. I have a glass top electric range and that is important information for me to determine which pans will be best in my application. I have bought some stainless steel sauté pans before that I can’t use anymore because they no longer sit flat on the range and therefore develop pronounced hot spots.

The tests said they were plunged into cold water and tested for warping, but I didn't see any results for that testing. I've had problems clad pans either warping of the kind with the disk on the bottom having their layers delaminate, so it would have been helpful to know how these pans fared with that test.

If I were just starting to acquire pots and pans, then I would consider Made In. But I started in the early 1990s with All Clad, and they have never disappointed me.

I was expecting the winner to be the All Clad!

I have set of 5-ply Clad 10 Piece Kirkland Stainless set and LOVE it. Would love to see it compared to the high-end brands. The only downside I've seen is that my pieces are a tad heavy. However, for the price, it just can't be beat.

A single sauté pan that costs over $150 is definitely out of my price range.

Love ATK! However, I did feel like the title of this video was a bit misleading? I was hoping for a little bit more of a comparison between sauté pans and skillets! Regardless, you all have convinced me that I probably need a saute pan haha

Usually you give the price and a budget priced alternative, what happened? 💖🌞🌵😷

Was hoping for the best budget option. I wonder if they quit doing that?

I love reviews like this, and this happens to be one of the items that I've been researching lately. Thank you for all you do at America's Test Kitchen.

I have 4 pans from Made In, and I love them. I also have All Clad and cast iron. So I'm not a one trick pony.
