Can we please have a forensic demolition of the Myers-Briggs personality bollocks? That would be just great! 👍🏻

As someone who is "strongly" left-handed and always got told I should be totally creative and artistic when I'm absolutely not, I knew this all along.

I'm convinced there's a 4th type that doesn't use either side at all!

Since I am a retired data entry operator, I can definitely say that it is a task that requires absolutely no brain power whatsoever. While mindlessly keying in my data I could also be listening to music or audio book and carry on a conversation, without even realizing that I had finished my batch until getting ready to turn the page and finding nothing there.

When I was a kid I got diagnosed with Non-Verbal Learning Disorder (NLD) and the Dr said I was "extremely left brain dominant"
I don't really believe in NLD: "whatever it is, it's not Autism" isn't a proper diagnosis.

I forgot this was ever a thing people said. That research is probably why cat's secretly hate us.

I like the movie phenomenon, because it seems like it's science fiction but then it brings it back to home, hard.

the CGP Grey episode about the hemispheres of the brain is pretty interesting on this topic.

@12:11 Einstein was wrong. Recent studies have shown that half of the significant contributions to society, whether it's writing, art, or ideas, were made by people over 50. It's never too late.

Thanks for calling out data entry right there at the end, Simon. Feels bad.

Back in the 90's, I had the learning series called Where there's a will, there's an A.
They teach this left brain, right brain also.
The simplest way? Take your hands, cross your fingers (where each finger goes across and touches the back side of the opposite hand. If you're left thumb lays on top of your right thumb, you're a left brain person, and vise versa.
I am supposedly a left brain person. It's one reason why I'm good at math and solving puzzles.
I can recall a face, but not a name. I've moved so much growing up and been to too many different schools. I gave up on trying to remember name's, because I wasn't going to be around long enough to even care.
I recall information better if I speak out load. That includes thinking out loud.
Due to my hearing issues. I don't do well in a hearing environment.
During high school and college, I was a math tutor. Math was just something that came easy to me.

We use every part of our brain, but only a tiny fraction of it.
People who say "we only use 10% of our brain" are extremely wrong, and people who say "we use all of our brain" are just as wrong.

It is simplistic and a rush to conclusion to see creativity and analytical thinking as opposed. I'd call them complementary, partners in an internal brainstorm.

Interesting and informative, as always, but this should have been an episode of "Today I found out..." because there's no science fiction in it.

I remember reading somewhere that when a person’s brain is not connected with one another, they will often do the same task twice, and not remembering it doing so.. memory a bit hazy now
