I love what you're doing here! One of my obscure Kansas favorites is "No One Together". When I first heard the intro with the ascending guitars and violin against Dave Hope's descending bass line, I was HOOKED! So many great passages in that song, stellar lyrics, and Steve Walsh's incomparable vocals. There is so much great Kansas music to unearth, thanks for sharing it with the younger generation!

A song by Kansas that I really love but I never hear anyone talk about is All the World. It might not have suuuper deep lyrics, but it's just so nice to listen to

Livgren is a creative genius that relied heavily on his spiritual experience and direction. Walsh became slowly distanced from Livgren because of the difference in philosophy. Kerry was on a higher plane and his inspiration manifested in his lyrics. Unique and powerful meanings drive his writings, IMHO.

wow this was incredible! subscribed for sure! so awesome to see the younger generation carrying on this wayward band! i love this band so much. as a native kansan i am just so proud that my home state produced a band that blessed the world with such wonderful music. most importantly because their music was just so beautiful. But i am also so proud they produced some of the most richly complex and engaging songs any rock band ever produced (helping to squash the notion that kansans are a bunch of unsophisticated bumpkins hahahah :))...but my biggest source of pride is that fact that this band had such unapologetically Christian themes in so many of their songs...and most of all that the love of Christ within Carey Livgren's heart produced so many songs filled with hope, beauty and positivity. In a rock genre that all too often celebrated darkness, what a great ambassador for Christ Carey was to show the world that the love of Jesus was the Spirit behind some of the most positive Rock songs ever written.

Kerry Livgren is, in my opinion, the greatest rock composer, orchestrator, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist. And so overlooked! Kansas has never been nominated for the R&R Hall of Fame, nor has Kerry been formally recognized for his songwriting or guitar playing. Such HORRIBLE oversights. He’s a master and a humble man.

MISTAKE!!!! While I like your focus on Kansas (A HUGE FAN YOU MADE A BIG At 1:33, you mention Jeff Glixman but show a picture of Phil Ehart, drummer of Kansas. If you were that big of a fan of Kansas, you would NEVER make that mistake. Anyway, Carry On!
