One of the most recognizable characters and villains in cinematic history is none other than the Dark lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader. Darth Vader has enamored fans ever since his first appearance during the opening scenes of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977, and Vader's a character that still captivates Star Wars fans today. After Darth Vader survived his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar, Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, was created when Skywalker turned to the dark side of the Force, pledging his allegiance to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious at the end of the Republic Era. Vader would go onto to enforced the rule of the New Order as the Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine's Sith apprentice throughout most of the Imperial Era. Over the span of Imperial rule, Darth Vader sought and killed any Jedi he and the Inquisitorious discovered survived the Great Jedi Purge. Furthermore, as Darth Sidious' apprentice, Darth Vader acted as Darth Sidious' enforcer, ensuring the Sith maintained a vice-like grip of control on the galaxy. Darth Vader's prowess, skill, power, and knowledge in the force were unlike few of the Sith that came before him, as the Sith Lord was a vergence in the Force. His blood contained over twenty-thousand midi-chlorians, surpassing that of Grand Master Yoda and all other Jedi in the galaxy. Being the Emperor's Fist and acting as Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Military despite not holding a military rank, Vader enforced the rule of the New Order as the Emperor's Sith apprentice throughout most of the Imperial Era. Vader's reign of terror on the Galaxy would have long lasting effects, even after his death, as his grandson, Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren, vowed to finish the work that Darth Vader had started a generation earlier—and to succeed where Vader and his sentimentality had failed. Darth Vader was one of the characters that made me fall in love with Star Wars when I was a youngling, and he’s still a character that I enjoy seeing in new Star Wars stories.

Vader did not win at the end, it was a draw.

This was a dope-ass comic. One of my favorite bits is that Tarkin get's more insight into Vader's abilities with every man lost. He doesn't let a single experience go to waste. By the end of it he has Vader dialed in. He knows precisely how far he needs to be away from Vader to avoid his force choke. Vader being Vader always walks away from their engagements alive, but Tarkin pulls some shit off that get's his heart racing. Vader is too injured to move, and was then basically paralyzed in a mechanical suit in the middle of a god-awful lighting storm. The only reason he survived was because Tarkin called the medical evac for them.

I was so confused when I first read that

When I see this comic (Note: Marvel comics) I remember them showing Scarif's Imperial weapons facility repository where Vader who was still looking over military files found out about the Death Star only to meet with Tarkin escorted by Death Troopers to inform him he didn't belong there.

However, While hearing this Vader was already imagining various ways he would kill Tarkin ranging from force choke to lightsaber decapitation while telling him he didn't fall under the Grand Moff's command only to be settled by a call to the Emperor who informed him that he actually did saying he spoke with his voice ( Note: which pissed him off )

Now imagine Vader being sent to Mon Cala to assist him with Inquisitors and Purge troopers (Clones) to deal with the Jedi advising the King while only to be called by the Moff later asking to help him in capture the King with the promise of a favor.

While Tarkin thought the Sith Lord was insane after hearing "Hunt me, kill me if you have the chance to" as a way to throw him off...

On the other hand, Vader saw this as a moment to keep his senses sharp and teach the Grand Moff a valuable lesson that he must have forgotten onboard the bridge of the Death Star.

When facing an unknown opponent no matter the numbers... don't be careless.
