For those wondering, this is from "The Blunder Years; Season 13, Episode 5.

When going to a posh restaurant as a family, a famous hypnotist performs, hypnotizing various people and doing the typical "turning into" routine before turning to Homer. However, when he hypontizes Homer into becoming his 12-year-old self, where Homer suddenly starts screaming. Even after being snapped out of his trance, he continues to scream well into the next day, even in his sleep.

When Lisa suggests it's because of a repressed memory, Marge makes some tea to help unlock the memory.

When investigating the location, the family and Chief Wiggum are lead to Mr. Burns' office, with Wiggum accusing Burns of murder. He then shows an old film to prove his innocence; showing Waylon Smithers Sr. sacrificing himself to shut down the reactor core to prevent the town from blowing up. And because cover-ups were all the rage, he just dumped Smithers Sr.'s body down a drainage pipe.

Smithers himself, having heard the whole thing, comes in and learns that his dad died a hero, as Burns previously told him his dad was killed by "a tribe of savage Amazonian women".

I remember this episode. There was something in the nuclear reactor that needed to be checked but it was dangerous. Smither's father went in and gave his baby to Burns. He saved Springfield but had to kill himself.
