It’s insane that if Sideshow Bob succeeded in murdering Bart in Cape Feare it would’ve caused Lisa's mind to be warped by grief and vengeance that she became a murderous psychopath that’s no better than Sideshow Bob. It even foreshadowed her true personality rising when she said “You're gonna die in that cell, Bob and when that happens, wherever I am, I'll be dancing." and even had Maggie be an accomplice in orchestrating in Sideshow Bob's murder. It shows the sisters never truly moved on from their desire for vengeance.

Talk about an alternate timeline. Sideshow Bob successfully killed Bart and Lisa watched it happen. 30 years later, Lisa is revealed to have a split personality that wants to avenge Bart. So, she killed innocent people she knew just to be sent to prison, and Maggie helps with the revenge plot by getting Lisa to Bob's cell. Lisa and Maggie did avenge their brother by having Lisa kill Bob the same way he killed Bart, with a machete and the same music.
