Mexico really did a great job taking this music and making a version of it part of them, something of their own. Music is awesome

This is some under-appreciated music. Weird Al said it best: "You can't be depressed with polka."

I am from India and my mom sang this song for me in the 50s when I was about nine years. I am now 72. Loved listening to this and brought back so many lovely memories.

Dammmm I straight up thought I was listening to a corrido but in English and from its original roots, the influence is crazy 🇲🇽🇩🇪🇸🇰🔥❤️

I love the Beer Barrel Polka. When I was around 10 or 11, there was a polka night at a nearby park, and there were many of older couples there dancing along to the music. The park's custodian, a lovely lady, sang along with the song while I clapped along. It was a lovely night to remember!

My family is Colombian so much of our music is very Spanish influenced. It's very interesting to see how much Germany influenced Mexican music.

My father was in a polka band here in Detroit for many, many years. You guys sound very authentic, which is a hard thing to fake. My mother just died last week, so this is bringing back memories.
