This video walks you through setting up VPC Peering between VPCs in different AWS Regions.
At re:Invent 2017, AWS released a new feature which allows you to create VPC Peering between VPCs in the different Regions. Following are the steps involved:
1. Create two VPCs, one in each region.
2. Create subnets in each VPC.
3. Create and attach IGW to each VPC.
4. Create and update the Routing Table.
5. Provision EC2 instances in each VPC’s subnet and test network connectivity.
6. Configure VPC Peering between the VPCs in different regions.
7. Update the Routing Table and Security Groups.
8. Verify network connectivity using ping.
