I made my first game using your Game Dev beginner course. I'm now almost 3 years into my game dev journey and I couldn't recommend that course enough.

Great video! I like the advice about teaching even if you don’t know what you’re doing because you will end up learning more while trying to teach the subject 😊 Thats exactly how I started!

I feel like Noa just poured a whole bunch of information into my brain. Great tips and great video! Also I absolutely love the visuals of this video with the map-like progression. It had a very nice flow to it 😀

as someone who has escaped tutorial purgotory i recomend this one thing as a baby step, start using multiple tutorial for one game, like one tutorial for movement and then another creator for attack and stuff like that. that will basicly help you teach you how to manage without a guide holding your hand while still following a tutorial

Happy new year!! I wish everyone good luck in your Game Dev's journey (and in general of course).
I personally hope to get out of the "tutorial purgatory" and finish small games to get better one step at a time

I started making games/devlogs when covid hit with 0 knowledge. One of my inspirations is you and dani.

Great video Noa. Teaching the skill is definitely the best way to learn more the same skill. I think every game dev should try teaching game dev. A great way is trying to find answers to other people's questions in forums. That way you are helping other people and also you will learn a lot. Happy 2022 and I hope everyone reading this comment have a wonderful year. Cheers

Thank you, I have been watching you and other gamedevelopers on yt(Dani, Reece Geofroy, Mythical legion, and many more) for many years, and with your help I steped into Unity and visual scripting. I was scared from all programing and confusing world of developmemt, now I make games and feel better! Btw love your artstile

Ive started my journy almost 3 years ago. It took me until January 2021 to release my first game. Now this year i want to at least make one game a month, while having 2 playable and 2 attempts under my belt. I guess its time to repick up youtube yet again and get work done. Thanks for the good video and the inspiration boost, ill need it. Lets make 2022 count !! :)
Edit: also i just wanna mention: I really like how you included in this video the importance of Exercise and the outside live and also the to be interested in other things, always curios and open.

I very often have to remind myself that I don't need to make my dream game in the next few months. I frequently get caught up feeling like the thing I am working on is not my dream game, or the game that will make me proud... But it's important to remember that that feeling is ok... I have plenty of time to do that, and in the meantime I am learning.

Great video Noa! A lot of stuff I knew to a basic level and you just elevated it!
My plan this year is definitely to focus on smaller prototypes and to stream them more :)
(Also to get an industry job!)
Happy new year to you and everyone!

Happy New Years Noa. I defently needed to hear all this to start the new year with. I have been on the learning train the past half a year now self taught mostly on the engine of my choice and gaining game ideas in the process. This is going to be the year I start my actual gamedev journey.
