POLARIZING filters, HOW TO use them!

The polarizing filter is a strong tool to alter and potentially improve your landscape photography and subject. By sorting out the polarized light it deepens the blues of the sky and increases the saturation of the photo. It can even cut through the haze and reveal details not visible to the eye. In this video, I show how to use a polarizing filter, while visiting the oldest town in Denmark, Ribe. I also fly my drone. Be aware you need the drone license 1A to fly above towns and cities in Denmark.

I was thrilled to visit Ribe Cathedral in 2005 when visiting the family of my Danish forbears. Your images are stunning as always.

Thank you for yet another very educational video with a variety of examples. The polarising effect on the lone tree shot is fantastic. The scene just comes alive with polariser.

Polarizers are great for British weather when you have dull "nothing" light. I got some nice shots which when you looked at the scene IRL it looked flat and boring, but I coaxed out just enough blue against the clouds to give me something to work with in Light Room.

Very nice looking town. I am amazed at how you have an eye for making a great composition out something which at first glance does not seem glamorous. If there is only filter to have in your kit, the CPL filter is the one to have. Used them for years and swear by them. Great with B&W photography - add a red filter (in camera or RAW post-processing) for fantastic dramatic skies.

Being Danish myself, I really enjoyed a video from home. Thanks!

The white houses at 0:56 look like the Dutch small village Thorn ("Het Witte Stadje" / The White Town)... if you ever visit The Netherlands you should visit this lovely place!....

A polarizer is a must for better photography. What a difference it made in the photos you showed. Would love to see more of Denmark. I've only been once, Copenhagen and Moen at springtime a few years ago. Beautiful country. We were lucky to have sunny weather throughout.

Great stuff as usual! I've just purchased some polarising and ND filters for both my camera and drone, so wanted to get a feel for them before they arrive. This covered everything on CPL! Thanks a lot!
