I was a business analyst at one time and this is exactly what I did during one of my career roles at my former employer. But in addition I did also write test cases and ran testing for the platform enhancements. You become the trusted problem solver. You also develop trust with IT partners. This role was the happiest time of my entire career there and I don’t exaggerate. I have since retired from there. Super company.

Nice video! As a BA I think it is also important to highlight the participation in the user acceptance testing as well as functional testing cases along with the QA team.

Best explanation I've seen! I've been a business analyst for about a year and my role was never really defined for me by my bosses. But if I had to describe it, it'd be exactly this. In fact I've described my job as being a liaison between our business side folks and our IT folks.
