I got a PS Vita the day Sony announced it was being discontinued. I modded it out, and it plays up to PS1 and PSP flawlessly. The homebrew community is working on emulators for Dreamcast and N64 which will amp the Vita up a notch in regards to retro.

A smartphone would be better to use emulators, to play classic games.
But there's an issue and that's people still need their phone to communicate with, and you can't do that if your battery is dead, because you were playing games for to long.

android phone makes alot of sense however something to be said about the anbernic and piboy having available prebuilt images to get going almost out of the box. or am i overlooking something that's for android? haha
