A lot of CAs spend their first salary on registering for CFA. This is because they might feel disenchanted by a role in Accounts, Audit and Taxation and want a sneek peak into the world of Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Equity Research Fund fund. Someone who lands up in a role in Product Control with a Goldman Sachs or Barclays feels that CFA will facilitate their shift to the desired field
But in India, can CFA be the primary driver of your career moves , or will it more driven by an MBA or Networking or smart career moves such as starting with a boutique firm and then moving into the storied ones
So, whats the point of continuing in Audit in an EY if you have completed L3 of CFA.
Dont go by Attribution error - successful analysts have CFA - may not be right to infer that CFA led them to that role
Do the CFA for knowledge, for value addition - not just for the sake of double degrees.
Take your decision wisely

Your analysis is spot on Attribution Error..! Job Market is overflooded with CFAs because these days everyone from CA, Engineers, MBA, B.Com graduates are pursuing CFA with an "expectation" that they will get job in Equity Research, Private Equity, VC or Investment banking. This is mainly due to aggressive marketing of CFA course by coaching classes. Result is that the people who are pursing CFA are losing money but coaching classes that are selling CFA dream's are becoming crorepati 😂

It's my view only, only my personal view.
