NOTE: Shocker unfortunately burned down in a fire that I didn't find out about until after publishing this. Hopefully it will be rebuilt.

"wouldn't it be fun to get paid to do this?" As a walkthrough haunt actor of 10 years, can confirm, yes, yes it is although chainsaw work is some tough stuff too

Hi guys - I’m the builder / creator of Terror Castle in the Uk. I sold the park in 2014 but was very proud of that ride. My mission was to make it avert as hell! Thanks to Distortions Unlimited and Scare factory I think we did pretty good !

I was a kid in the 70s and my Grandpa used to take me and my brother to the now defunct Pike in Long Beach, CA. There was a haunted house ride that had a real corpse as a prop that the public didn't even know about until the ride was used for a Hollywood production shoot. It was then that a crew member noticed something unusual about the prop who alerted authorities. Turns out it was the body of a man by the name of Elmer McCurdy who died with no family to claim him. His body was in the carnival circuit for yrs until it found its way in Long Beach.

I think there needs to be a horror themed park with various haunted dark rides, etc. As a lover of all things scary & Halloween Im sure theres a market out there for it.

All these rides look scary, but I believe nothing can beat a walkthrough haunted house ! A top ten for these attractions would be so cool !

So glad you included Hotel Psycho, the only ghost train to legitimately scare the hell out of me! Fun fact for the head-squashing at 8:50, there's a perfectly timed mist spray when the guy's head pops.

7:50 I like the little love taps Leatherface gives with the chainsaw, very cute.

Hotel Psycho was so insane. When you wait in line there's these TV's that look like actors are roaming the interior and that built up so much anxiety in me. The ride was AMAZING. Very well executed.

Used to work at a little park, we had a "scary" ride called Hobs Pit. Mostly relied on live actors and one secret ingredient.

The ride backed onto the staff room area. So if you were having a bad day, open the door and scream at customers for a bit, then go back about your day.

As a regular visitor of Spøgelsestoget on Bakken, I can assure that yes, indeed, there are more than one touching scare actors on that ride, I've had my shoulder grabbed, my hair tousled, and my ear blown into. Not sure how much of that is still ongoing in these covid times, but definitely has been all the way up to the pandemic 😬

Unfortunately Shocker went up in flames in 2020 while stationed in Hannover so at this time is no longer in existence.

Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃🧛‍♀️🍬- PLEASE NOTE: The video was initially uploaded with the wrong title. The title is fixed now.

Honestly American parks should take notes. Imagine a hardcore haunted house attraction with a dark ride track. It'd be a neat concept. The cage also helps actors from getting punched lol

Love the urinating skeleton, but I gotta ask...How!?! Some of his equipment is missing!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If I could make a haunted house ride, I'd call it "10 Levels of Hell" or something like that. It would be comprised of 10 rooms, each scarier than the last. First room would just have dollar store Halloween props scattered around, second room would have some scarier Halloween costumes, with a jumpscare from one of them right before the Buggy enters the next room, third room would have blood and lightning effects with some animatronic spiders, and so on, until the ninth room which would be almost complete sensory overload of scary visuals and noises all relentlessly attacking the riders, and for the tenth room, there would be... Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Just a cold dark room the riders would travel through for about 10-15 seconds before the doors outside open and the ride ends. Tell me that wouldn't be the perfect topper to the scariest ride of your life!

That Terror Castle does look scary but the fast pace makes it seem pretty fun to ride! A lot of these rides show that you don’t need a high budget to make a good ride.

Some of those props/animatronics look like either Gore Galore, Distortions Unlimited or Poison Props made some of those. I am in the Halloween business, there are a lot of companies out there that you won't find at Spirit Halloween.

I always wonder about using real people in haunted houses, mainly things like reactions from some people. I can see myself hitting someone in self defense if I was surprised with a real person when I was expecting props. I would feel horrible for hurting someone who was just doing their job :(

Its amazing how powerful soundtrack can be.

One example that scares me is the THX logo. That deep note scares the living poopoo out of me.
