It would be interesting to move the point of the nail to the side about 1/4" with the Deus and see if anything different happens.

I have the same concerns as I mentioned in the previous video.
Please redo this test.

To improve the video capture of the Manticore display, lower the brightness.

Thank you for the demonstration.

I took my Deus2 out to the beach, threw a nail down on the sand, using beach sensitive program, and it targeted that nail over and over again. I dug an 8 inch hole in the sand, covered the nail with it, using the same program, and it targeted the nail with no problem. so I don’t know what to say, my Deus2 works flawlessly.

I was noticing that you were using the Manticore at 4 out of 8 recovery speed. To be equal, the Deus 2 reactivity needs to be set at 2.5.

The Deus was running at 1.5 out of 5, which is 0.3 of its total reactivity speed. When the Manticore was at a 2 out of 8, which is 0.25 of total recovery speed, it did about the same as the Deus 2. That’s why you increased it to 4.

Now Deus has some half increments (.5, 1.5, etc), so I don’t know how that actually compares to full number changes. Even if going by increments, Deus should be on a two, compared to Manticore’s 4. But I believe they should be compared at the same percentage of total recovery/reactivity speed.

Make them equal and redo the test, please.

Manticore seems to be doing pretty good here.

This is one of the very few vids I’ve seen where the manticore outperformed the D2 in unmasking a good target with iron nearby. The Manticore was ID’ing the quarter in the low 60’s….I didn’t see any target trace in the high 80’s where a quarter usually hits….must have been averaging the iron and quarter as a single target because they were nearly on top of each other.

I see you're deleted my comment again, interesting.
No measurement instrument in sight. Why even make a video?
Looking forward to watching you air test the Manticore and Deus II with a Manual Ground Balance of Zero.
