Hooke's Law and work done moving a spring, Single Variable Calculus

In this video, we look at Hooke's Law, which tells us that the amount force to stretch or compress a spring is proportional to its displacement from its natural length: F(x)=kx. Here k is a constant determined by the stiffness of the spring. We use this to compute the work done stretching or compressing two springs. Lastly we mention the difference between the force required to move a spring (F(x)=kx) versus the restoring force for the spring (F(x)=-kx).
