I think the bezels on the Pixel 2 XL are fine. I don't want a phone with no bezels at all. They're hard to hold without inadvertently touching the display and/or parts of the display ending up almost off-screen or untouchable. However, one thing that does worry me is the display quality. It seems that LG's OLED technology is still far behind Samsung's AMOLED tech. But I doubt that will be reason enough for me not to buy this phone.

Not sure why people get so negative on these types of videos lately, there's pros and cons to each phone. In the end it comes down to personal preference.

I went into the Verizon store to play with both of these and noticed the Pixel 2 stereo speakers were much louder than the Pixel 2 XL. Is this just an issue because they are display models running pre-release software or have you found this to be the case on your devices as well?

The whining in this review in the first minute. Holy crap man. "decently think bezels" or "your thin bezels aren't thing enough" is exactly the nit picky crap that our community gets held back by. A lot of the Android community babies wanted front facing speakers AND thing bezels. Guess what, it happened. Now its not THIN enough? Jesus

I keep hearing some reviews saying the phone is made of metal but because it has a textured coating it feels like plastic. I don't by that. Plastic is plastic. Many just expect to have a shinny back for it to feel and look premium. I personally like the look of the pixel line.

Got my s8 plus with a really good deal and don't see why people will spend more on boring pixel phone

I bought the pixel xl2 and returned it a few days later. One simple reason : the display is far inferior to all other competitors and that SUCKS! blue tint when tilted feels like a $100 phone screen not $1k. Also the colors in 4k video and photos compared to S8 or IPhone X are so dull and and unsatisfying. Maybe for $500 but Google is joking with the $1k price tag.

Good review but I will disagree in one area, Google is getting better at making hardware. On this phone I give them an F on both design and color choice. This form a Pixel XL owner, I expected far better than this.
