It's sad to see the headphone jack is basically dead. I've held off on purchasing this for myself, but did get preorder one as a gift. As an average consumer, moving the BT was about convenience with me. In the car, at work, out for a walk.. The situation with this is of course different for everyone. I found that since going with BT headphones, I didn't miss the headphone jack. [insert flames] Yeah, my OP3T does have one, but I haven't found the need to use it much. I still do think that moving away from the 3.5mm is a bad choice from phone manufacturers, given that the space is still there. It might be the future, but that time isn't now.. especially with so many people still using the jack.

To be honest when phones don't have a headphone jack it doesn't bother me, because
1. I looks cleaner
2. When I charge and I want to listen to music (which isn't that often) I use wireless headphones
3. The dongle doesn't bother me

Thanks for another great review, Josh! I'm looking forward to picking up a Pixel 2 XL as my next phone. Like you, I don't mind the bezels. I don't want a phone with no bezels at all, as then you might have issues with inadvertent touches and/or display elements that are at the curved edges of the screen and nearly impossible to interact with. (Now, the bezels on the smaller Pixel 2 are another story.)

1:35 fingerprint scanner is not below the glass panel, its on the aluminium portion of the phone.

Can't wait to get mine!! Already preordered, with a free Home Mini on the way :) my ONLY complaint is the rounded edges. Wish it was a normal sharp in the screen corners!
