Hi, I have an Ubuntu server installed (CLI) with 14.04 I was looking for kernel 3.13 or below so I picked this Ubuntu server version to install but after installing the OS, the version of the kernel updated automatically to 4.4 now I want to install the 3.13 kernel version how can I do it. Also if I need to download an older version of the kernel & install them what is the process. Kindly reply & help it's a request

Is there a difference between mainline ubuntu and mainline? Also… how does one fix the dependency issue this causes?

I did this but the newest version just says "installed" and the old version says "running". Why didn't it change automatically to run the latest version after reboot? How do I change it to run the latest version I installed?
