Home along Outer Banks in North Carolina washes away

It's the third home to collapse in the area since Friday. Homes along the Outer Banks have been at risk of collapse for years because of erosion.

These beach home owners all have FEMA flood insurance that will come in and rebuild their homes again. FEMA insisted that I have flood insurance on suburban house in California because a creek and the end off the block overflowed once in 50 years. I fought it and won (the creek is now encased in concrete under an expressway) but I guess I know where my premiums would have gone.
