When you rebuild, build it closer to the water.

Let's build our houses on sand...what could go wrong?

I looked up the address, it now says off the market, listing removed 🤦🏽‍♀️

When these houses were built in the 80's there was 200 yards of dunes, most homes had pools, and another 400 yards of beach. They were NOT built right on the ocean. For those that are asking why they aren't taken down before they collapse....Insurance will not pay out until the homes collapse. Once the home is condemned, the owner can no longer enter it, live in it or rent it out. They do however have to continue to pay the mortgage, the taxes, the insurance and that can go on for years. Demolition is hugely expensive. Once the home collapses, insurance pays a fraction of what the homes is worth, the lot is lost, so there is no ability to rebuild and the owner is required to pay for the cleanup.

The sea is just recovering his territory…also why nobody thought in building ship-houses in case of collapse? We could avoid all that garbage into the ocean! 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you've ever been there, even new houses are built right along the high tide line. It is incredibly dangerous and imprudent. Not surprised at all to see this.

Even little children are taught in Sunday school that the wise man does not build his house upon the sand because if he does then when not if it crashes that crash will be great!

Some people are so ignorant that they have to learn the hard way.

That's $400 thousand dollars taxpayers will be paying for.

How could someone not expect this to happen eventually?

its hard to feel bad for rich people who feel entitled to have beach front fortunate taxpayers shouldn't be subsidizing the protection of their houses.

Can't even watch the house fall into the ocean because the BLUE BANNER is so huge. Good grief.

Im not sure what the town was thinking approving zoning to build so close to the damn water! How ridiculous. But that's America! 🤦

hey. why don't you put a GIANT caption on the video so we can't really see the collapse?

Beaches should never have homes that close anyway.. the arrogance of man is astounding sometimes. Not just for reasons like this, but they are an eyesore in general.

Stop building in unstable conditions. It’s crazy. Insurance pays for this out of our pockets.
