Guitar Lesson 8 - G Major Scale & NEW Song! [10 DAY Guitar Course]

Hi guys, welcome to Day 8 of this 10 day acoustic guitar series where we'll be checking out the G major scale and a riff to a classic song that uses this scale!

The song we'll be learning is 'The Joker' by the Steve Miller Band - a fantastic song to get your mates singing along to! We'll be learning the riff and the song in full, plus easier 'strum and sing' options.

I picked up playing late April. Andy is the most comprehensive teacher I found on YouTube. However, I took about 20 days to complete the 10 day for beginners. But you continually have to go over them. I love Day 7 and 8

I've been taking these lessons very slowly and it took me a couple of days from getting the last one to here. Ok, I am a 31 years old, man. I never touch any guitar. I started this course two weeks ago after I bought a very cheap acoustic guitar. I practiced one hour everyday. It took me totally 15 hours of guitar practicing to come this far. Now, this video is actually feels easy and I did all the motions in just one try. This could be the first video that feels easy to me. Thanks Andy, I really love to practice using your videos.

This may be the best tutorial video I've seen on anything ever. I can't explain it but this one just felt so easy to learn thanks to this video Andy. The way you have us learn the tab first which is pretty simple, but still a little tricky for a beginner to master, then you bring in stuff we've learned in the last video, it's just perfect. Thanks Andy you are making learning the acoustic guitar fun with the lessons appropriately challenging. Lesson 1 took what seemed like 10 days, lesson 2 9 days etc. Sort of got this lesson (with mistakes) the first time through. Things are obviously getting through to my brain and fingers. Practice, practice, practice. This has been great during the lockdown.
