When writing a novel, would it make sense to write in both? As in a character comes into the story later and i write that character in the first person. But all of the other characters are in the third?

I know this is an old comment but please ignore what she says in this video about how there are no rules to constrict you and how you can switch around perspectives. No, there is no Writing Police that will come give you a citation if you violate point of view, but it is considered bad writing and is confusing for the reader. It is very important to keep perspective consistent throughout an entire work.

Although I hate when people put (Persons name) POV at the top. Start a new paragraph with an asterisk or a number and use italics people...
