You can do a lamb shank in the slow cooker and put stock of your choice for the same price even to shanks for that and no putting oven on just use the mash yeh bought in microwave

That looked lovely Deano, may have been relatively expensive but it looked worth every penny. I know there are others around for less but are they GB lamb? Most I've seen are NZ or an unnamed source lamb and smaller portion as well. Having seen your vid I'm tempted to pop one in my trolley next time I'm in Morrison's, ideal as a treat. Gone are the days when I could get half a leg of Welsh lamb for under four quid, and also sadly gone for many, me included, are local butchers, so those saying you can get them cheaper from butcher are very lucky to have a butcher, the rest of use will have to use supermarkets or online suppliers

you can thank fancy chefs (making it cool ) for the price, 10 years ago your butcher would have given it to you for free or at most £1, just wait in 5 years, liver will be in that price range
