Apart from maybe some puzzle or strategy games, CRPGs are probably the most intellectually challenging computer games out there and they are among the most versatile genres with character interaction, economy systems, combat systems, character development, rich and compelling stories and story progression and usually lots of exploration. This ist what makes them fun.

My first CRPG was Pathfinder Kingmaker a few months back. I never played anything like it before, never had even the interest tbh. Now I can't stop playing crpgs, and keep searching for more. Thanks to you I'm finding more and more to keep me happy. Thank you ^_^

I love them because they leave me in a good mood after I close them. Nostalgia, Creative and witty writing, easter eggs, secrets, pop culture references in abundance... It just works.

They are complex games, not only in their mechanics, but also in their characters and the story. I just love games that make me think about the motivations of the antagonist or my companions. It's awesome when a story leaves an impression long after I completed the game. Not many genres give me that, but crpgs rarely fail in that part. So awesome.

Your channel has definitely inspired me to play more crpgs and I’m loving the stories and experiences. My biggest complaint is the length of the games. Any game that’s over 50hrs to beat I generally have to take breaks from regardless of the genre. Just don’t have the time to game that much these days and I don’t have it in me to just blast through the main story. Your channel is great for filling in the gaps of the story I miss and pushing me along. Keep up the great work!

I think my love for CRPGs and even regular RPGS is the world that the games are set in have such depth in lore and the protagonist, which is to say my character is how I want him or her to be. My mental health hasn't let me personally enjoy my favorite genre personally in years but I still love to watch others such as yourself play them.

I love them because they explore characters and story. Plus they can dive so deep that this type of genre probably comes the closest to playing an actual character in a novel; wait they actually did that (Planescape Torment).

Story is what's most important to me. Another thing is that they are usually long, so they offer the biggest "bang for your buck" (if that's the correct expression), way more than some shooter with very short campaign.

I really enjoyed this, even if some of them seemed obvious as a fan of CRPG's myself, it nice to see that others do share the same feeling I have for them!

I like cRPGs because it’s more about thinking about what’s going on and planning ahead, rather than action skills. I like games that have a good atmosphere and many cRPGs often do that. If I find an action game where I like the atmosphere, like Dark Souls or STALKER, then I play those games a lot too, but cRPGs are more likely to deliver than other types of games.

Crpgs usually encompass everything I want out of a gaming experience in one package. I love class based character creation, level up systems, choice based story, and tactical engaging combat. I loved Tyranny a whole lot and enjoyed what it had to offer but the one thing missing for me was classes, that's why I'm really looking forward to Pathfinder: WotR

I love CRPGs for different reasons. Firstly, they are often long and it is always good for me, it helps you to get attached to chatacters and immerse yourself in the world, obviously it also means more content. Secondly, CRPGs usually mean tactic combat which is always better than action combat for me. And of course they have less budgets when they are isometric. The good thing about it is that devs can create more locations and missions because it is "cheaper". I can't imagine creating BG 2 with AAA graphics... all those strongholds, underwater citiy and underdark, that would've mulpltiply the budget.

Hello!!, greetings from Spain, first of all forgive my bad english, everything I have learned has been thanks to rpgs. Just tell you that I discovered your channel recently and I loved it, it shows that you talk about cprg from knowledge and passion, and you let us know and discover about this genre that is not so popular but as you say in the video it has a site unique and main in our lives, so thank you for your time .

CRPG is my new found love for gaming. What I love the most for CRPG is that they tend to have really great companions. And I always love a good romance story.

I love CRPG's, because not only they have fantastic customization in the gameplay side of things, but that they also tell very well written stories (usually) due to them not being constrained by voice acting. There are some rare cases where a game gets popular enough that the developers go back and voice act the majority of the game (see Disco Elysium) and it expands the appeal of the game for those who don't like reading walls upon walls of text. Another good example of a good CRPG with full voice acting was Wasteland 3. It's just a cherry on top for me.

I would love if Beamdog would go back and try to do the same with Planecape Torment Enhanced Edition, but there is so much text in that game that it would be impossible from a budget standpoint.

Another aspect I love about CRPG's is the feeling of "wanderlust" that every new game gives me. It makes me want to explore every nook and cranny to find loot & lore and more about the world that I am playing in. Which is why I am really looking forward to dive in Black Geyser's early access in a few days, because it looks like a ripe new world to explore that is completely new and is not based of D&D. Gonna try it out until Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous comes out the next week.

I've literally just started playing them. I've started with the Baldurs Gate EE and have just reached Cloakwood. Loving it so far. Can't believe I haven't played this before. What would you recommend after this one?
