Dead Cells had a great feature that removes another frustrating aspect of rpgs: random crits.
Every weapon has a specific crit condition, either you meet it and it crits, or you don’t and it doesn’t. The result is that almost every weapon is unique and rewards players who lean into its strengths.

The best part is when the game uses such astronomicaly high numbers to try and convey power.
Like you deal 10, 000dmg with your firaga spell to a cactus and the health bar only drops a tiny bit cause its got 1mil health

I remember playing borderlands 2 years ago, and I finished that quest where you get the talking shield. I thought it was cool and unique, and it let me not stare at my shield number incessantly. Less than 5 minutes after I got it it was phased out by a better shield.

See, this is why I like Yo-Kai Watch. The only thing that you have to deal with for numbers is equipment. That’s it.

Bad anime idea: An anime based on Albuquerque by Weird Al Yankovic. Each episode would be something totally disconnected and completely related to the last episode at the same time. And because the song is so long, it would be around 1, 110 episodes.

Fear and Hunger series, Mother series, Undertale, Yume Nikki, Hylics series, and Mario rpgs are honestly really good, i think its not a problem.
