Nigel Martyn on under the cosh was brilliant. At nearly 55 he's the best keeper I've ever seen play for LEEDS. Shows he was quality to sign for Everton at 37 after 8 or 9 seasons with us. I'm made to believe he still lives in the area, which surprising alot from that era do. Would like to have heard about the plane, when the jet engine exploded & the plane had to make an emergency landing.. Your subscribers are really going up I joined at 9000ish your nearly 55, 000 you must have gone up by well over 10, 000 in less than 6 months. Keep up the fantastic information etc.

Nigel Martyn what a goal keeper he was for us. The best GK Leeds have ever had.

Always thought Venables ruined the club.Just proves the point, he was known deservedly as England's number 1

Thank you for the Nigel Martin content as youngster I never knew this was why my favourite player suddenly left the club at 32 I can almost let this go. Almost.

Nigel Martyn brilliant keeper best weve ever had. I agree on Robbie Fowler signing was madness at the time when he had Viduka, Smith, Keane, Bridges and even Kewell could play up top. Venables era was a disaster signing Nick Barmby, taking Olivier Dacourt out for bloody Paul Okon! Had Martyn been in goal in 2003/04 dont think we'd have gone down

I knew about the reasons behind Nige leaving Leeds at the time. Vena was an absolute 'see you next Tuesday' and wasn't much liked by the players at the time. Gimme a choice of him or Hockaday, I'm picking the latter.

Interesting about Nigel Martyn departure. One of our best ever keepers. Sad way to have to leave.

Seriously eye opening comments from Nigel Martyn during the clusterf**k that was Ridsdale/Venables . Martyn was fantastic for us during his time here & what a squad we had !!

I’m still waiting for the day when someone in the media at Farke’s press conferences, asks him when he thinks Leeds will score from a corner? Great content as always. mot⚽️

Hello 👋 Ger Big Nigel is a legendary goalkeeper the best for me how he was treated was shocking. For me David O'Leary shouldn't of been sacked I would've kept him on for another year I know he had that book 📚 out but the 👗 dressing room was altogether as far as I know but back in the 2002/2003 basically the start of Leeds sinking faster than the Titanic 😲😳. It's going to be a big match on Saturday we need a Win and I would think 🤔 Daniel Farke will change the team I hope fingers 🤞 crossed. Thanks Ger for the updates it's going to be a somber day at Cardiff as both sets of fan's pay tribute to the legendary Sol Bamba R.I.P 🫶🙏 marching on together we all love Leeds keep fighting 🦚🇮🇨🤍💛💙

I remember Risdale panicking when Viduka and Kewell went off for Australia's World Cup play off games and despite O'Leary saying we would manage went out and bought Fowler. I suspect Risdale already knew the mess he had got us in and panicked to ensure we got Champions League football.

I remember the first season we got back to the EPL when Leeds were on live the pundits said of Harrison that he had the skills and physical abilities to play for England but doubted he had the mental toughness because he drifted in and out of games.

I said all this last season and again at the start of this season. We used to struggle for possession at the start of the second half of games and were often on the back foot defending but usually we counter attacked and score the first goal in the second half. A more stable defence and talent as well as pace on the counter attack is Leeds best way of winning 🎉

Nigel Martyn was by far and away Leeds’ greatest ever goalkeeper and between 1996 and 2002, he was the best England goalkeeper.

TV was very unfair in showing him the door as Nigel had just returned from the far-east in representing England in World Cup 2002.

Yet 6 years earlier the same TV got very defensive over the England players’ behaviour in a Hong Kong nightclub and on the Cathay Pacific flight home where alleged drunken incidents took place.
