An out-of-this-world teaser trailer for Disney and Pixar’s 28th feature film, “Elio,” are now available. Additions to the voice cast include: Jameela Jamil and Brad Garrett join previously announced America Ferrera and Yonas Kibreab in the intergalactic misadventure that is scheduled to take off next spring.

For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers—in Disney and Pixar’s all-new movie “Elio,” the universe calls back! The original feature film introduces Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.

Directed by Adrian Molina (screenwriter and co-director of “Coco”) and produced by Mary Alice Drumm (associate producer of “Coco”), the film features the voices of America Ferrera as Elio’s mom, Olga; Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa; Brad Garrett as Ambassador Grigon; and Yonas Kibreab as the title character. “Elio” releases in cinemas spring 2024.

I’m already having a blast of how this looks. I hope the story can turn out really well, and the visuals look fantastic!! The backgrounds are aesthetically pleasing with a huge amount of eye Candy. The aliens have a lot of unique designs that really help with the world building with this movie Elio. Disney! You better give this film attention if you want this to be a success!! And thanks Pixar.

The Elio teaser trailer looks interesting, but as a fan, I can't help but dream about Disney remaking Osamu Tezuka’s 'Astro Boy (Atom -> Adam)' in the distant future. With Disney's magic and Astro Boy's compelling story, it would be something truly extraordinary.

This is giving me Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (the movie), Lightyear, Strange World, and Lilo and Stitch vibes so I hope I’m wrong. It frankly looks like it could be interesting, but lately I’ve lost so much hope in Disney and Pixar that a decent trailer won’t automatically get me to see the movie. I’ll need to watch each trailer as well as hear reviews to see if they continue this same generational trauma plotline as well as the woke agenda. I just want to watch a fun, new wholesome plot. Also, frankly it’s sad to say, but after 25+ years of the same style from Pixar I’m bored. Spiderverse changed animation and is so fun just to look at visually! I assume that’s what Pixar was back in ‘95 but we’re no longer in 1995. Time to break boundaries again Pixar.

After the failures of "Lightyear" and "A Strange World" Pixar seems to look for new stories in books. This looks too similar to the book John Snowman: Supreme Negotiator of the Galaxies published in 2019. A coincidence? 🤔
