Elio is a kid with goals: “I’m trying to get abducted—by aliens!” In Disney and Pixar’s all-new feature film “Elio,” he might just get what he’s been searching for. The teaser trailer and a new poster are now available for the cosmic misadventure that beams into theaters June 13, 2025.

A space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession, Elio’s all in for an epic undertaking when he’s beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. When Elio is mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader, he must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be. Directed by Madeline Sharafian (“Burrow” Sparkshort), Domee Shi (“Bao” short, “Turning Red”) and Adrian Molina (co-screenwriter/co-director of “Coco”), and produced by Mary Alice Drumm (associate producer of “Coco”), the film features the voices of Yonas Kibreab as Elio, Zoe Saldaña as Aunt Olga, Remy Edgerly as Glordon, Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa and Shirley Henderson as OOOOO.

This looks promising! One thing that’s been on my mind is that people want original films but they don’t go out to theaters to support those films, when a sequel comes out tons of people go out to watch it. Let’s keep supporting original animated movies!

Attention Everyone! Go watch this movie! Support original ideas, so we can get more promising original movies from Pixar! And personally I think it looks appealing so far, interested to see it.

Going from "kid doesn't want to be abducted by aliens and has to deal with it" to "kid ABSOLUTELY WANTS to be abducted by aliens and is living his best life" has been the best and most relatable change they've made, thank you very much

Pixar creates these wonderful films that have such a deep meaning. This will be a kids movie that adults will connect with. My favorite one is Soul

its always the standalone movies that disney does not outwardly tell us about, it took me 2 weeks to find out about this!! I am so excited!

I can't stress this enough. If you don't want Toy Story 6, we all need to see this, and Hoppers, in theaters.

Okay it's pretty clear that the original take on this movie based on the original teaser was more about Elio who wound up getting more accidentally abucted when it was his mother who wanted to make contact with aliens and him claiming to be an ambassador was more just a way to survive whatever the aliens had in mind for him. Now though this is something Elio more WANTS to happen to him and not as much forced on him thus him more willingly going along with this which you know I kind of actually do like that idea especially if he is supposed to be our focus point character.

Now this looks like a promising original movie. I will definitely watch this one in the cinema because it doesn’t hurt to try something new and original, right? Let’s support this and Hoppers so that we can get some more great original movies alongside the brilliant sequels.

Alright, let's try this again! (For those confused by the existence of a prior teaser trailer, Pixar was dissatisfied with the film so they delayed it and redid it, also gave it new directors, the director of Turning Red and the the director of Burrow)

Pixar’s animation has gotten so much sharper and more detailed from a tiny speck of dust to the texture of a shirt! My how times have changed!!
