What a beautiful plant, ghost pipe, I can see why you were so pleased to find them! It's easy to imagine it has "good medicine" I really find it interesting how the tincture doesn't "cover up" the pain signals, but it "bends" the signal so the brain or nerves read it differently. Not unlike nitrous oxide at the dentist's office. I would love a foraging walk in the woods with you Luli, beautiful 🌿🍄🌿

Remember to leave a good percentage of the plants so that you will have seeds/spores/etc so that they will reproduce for next year ...

My friend's ongoing, severe vertigo was outright cured by this plant. One dose did it. 30 minutes later, he was amazed. He had been suffering with this issue for many months. Didn't matter whether he was sitting, standing, active or not, he was constantly holding his head in his hands, trying to regain his balance, internally & externally.

Please be super careful when harvesting this plant. Pick small amounts as you're processing it into tincture THE SAME DAY. As mentioned in the video, it must be processed as soon as you get it home.

This is not a plant you can dry & use later, so there is absolutely no point in picking a boatload & drying it for later use. Oil Infusions do not seem to work with it either. Only alcohol & hot water. It is also quite rare in some areas, yet another reason to harvest in moderation.

We don't want to lose this plant, or any others, it's very valuable medicine, so please, please, please show restraint when harvesting. We have already lost so many species of our plant healers. View & treat it with the utmost respect. And leave a 'thank you' to the plant, something like a piece of your hair, a pinch of tobacco or dried flowers, sage, sweetgrass, what-have-you, & express the feeling of gratitude from your heart. Yes, it really matters, and yes the plant really feels this. We can choose to impact our natural environment in many energetically positive ways. Every little bit makes a difference.

Much love & healing to all ❤

I have that same book! I got it for almost nothing at a second hand store. I am going to look up and see if this plant grows in Oregon forests. I have never seen it but I never knew to look for it. Thanks for your videos. I love them

I just went out yesterday with my girlfriend in early august to a park to look for some. Just had some rain the night before and its dark woods. We looked for 3 hours before I finally found a whole cluster in the tree line by a field. This is the third time I've found it in my life but first time I harvested. I didn't even take all from each root system, only about two or three from each. Did not have as much as shown here but still awesome. I only used regular rye vodka so I hope thats still good enough. Thanks for the info

Your insects are wooly aphids on what I believe is an alder tree. The black stuff on the ground is mold. The aphids suck sap out of the tree to get at the nitrogen, but a ton of sugar comes along for the ride. The aphids secrete the sugar in the form of honeydew. Ants love this and you often see ants crawling all over the aphids collecting the honeydew and they will actually milk the aphids to get the honeydew out faster. In this instance, the honeydew is falling to the ground and mold is growing on it.

After dealing with abuse for many years I did everything to heal. All helped but this is the last phase. Helped with my anxiety. Went from outgoing to withdrawn and this is life changing herb .

Please keep in mind that these flowers can be rare and even endangered in your area. I’m making a Tincture for my father with severe back pain. Make sure to only harvest if legal and there are enough left for this rare and beautiful flower to repopulate- DO NOT HARVEST THE

Anyone suggesting they are endangered needs to do a simple google search. Theyre not even considered rare. Over the weekend my buddies found about 40-45 clusters at his cabin. We picked about 4 flowers per 8oz jar of tincture and we have about 10 bottles sitting now. We did NOT harvest more than 1/4 of the plant and cut them low on the stem to not disturb the roots. We found so much we gave up on looking and bottling because we didnt want to harvest more than our four families needed for the year.

Those who find this plant should remember to ask themselves if they really need to pick the plant. Overharvesting of this plant has made it endangered in many states and is illegal in some.

Thank you for this video. I just found some last year, so this year I wanted to find some to try for chronic pain. I found 1 flower, so going to start small and see what the effects are first. I put my list together for my first try (dropper bottles and alcohol for the tincture) I hope this works! I'm allergic to some pain killers so I'm at a loss about what to try, I figure I'll start with 1 drop just to make sure I don't have a reaction first, and go from there :)

What are the exact measurements of the ingredients in this tincture? I ask because dosage will vary depending on how much is used in making it.

Thanks for sharing this. My sister just got a ghost pipe and wanted to make a tea with it. Could you make a video on making a tea with ghost pipe. Also did you ever find out what those bugs are?

I looked up bugs that look like that and came up with mealybugs. Hard to tell for sure if that's what's on ur branches cuz they're so small but looks similar. I had them in my herb garden. They loved my chives.
