cool, but I think search will be around for a some time, as you still need search to double check the information is actually correct - or even to get multiple variations of ways to solve the same problem (for example with code and the best way to implement on varying circumstances).

A Google engineer told me that BARD is actually a shortened from for BARDO, A tibetan term used for "the transition stage after death where the human soul resides before re-incarnating". So Google Bard is basically them preparing for death.

We certainly do need regulation on how AI systems should be used and how they should be designed. And better explanations of how they work. But, it is unrealistic to think that the geriatrics in power, who don't even understand the internet, can properly create regulation for AI.

I want to know how soon we can get something like ChatGPT running on a Boston Dynamics robot. If something like Ergo scaled up 100x so ChatGPT's 400 GB would fit, that chip might be able to run the model on about 1 laptop battery per hour. Then it would not only be able to reach spaghetti jars on the top shelf of the kitchen, but it would know Marinara apart from Alfredo.

Actually there are already AIs that were smarter than humans. I remember two AI bots developing a language to communicate, way to complex for humans to understand.
I think the potential for AI is really big and also great, but non the less dangerous. I think you are completly right that we need laws for this. And if Google not care about restricting dangerous stuff it will be bad. I Just hope they will still take care about it.

Also one thing to Elon Musk: He is using the arguments of the book not the other way around.

ChatGPT is way ahead and has destroyed Google Bard by $100 billion and counting if Google doesn't come up with AI better than ChatGPT which is ahead of the game. ChatGPT is now synonymous with search. I want to ChatGPT rather than I want to Google.
