What is "spiritual death"? Swedenborg presents it as an issue of the particular quality of life rather than an issue of unconsciousness.

In the full-length episode "What Gives You Eternal Life," we deep-dive into a passage from Swedenborg's book, "Last Judgment."

Please do not judge me as you would not like others to judge you. Let us all help another to attain divine wisdom by sharing LOVE. Respect ourselves as we respect our neighbors and respect those we have never met. What would Emmanuel write?

Let’s give Thanks this Thursday AND every other day too! Such are the simplest Truths often so difficult to follow. There’s barely enough time to find Truth within myself, perhaps it’s best to just let go of the external delusions - not easy!!

When I think about it, I sure liked it better when I was much younger and innocent. ( LOL!) But ever since I passed through that stage of adolescence, the world has become that more confusing with everybody having different brain chemistries (on different wavelengths) I suppose we are all important in our own way, but I wonder about the harmonious uniting in the next level. Thanks for the Swedenborg material, it helps me to think about reality.😃👍🏻🌼

The first part of a dream I had I have left with tome. The second part was a repeat of a dream two days ago. The first dream I'm in a city and Paris is said. Their a beautiful woman standing in the rubble of what was a building and a man stood before her. He was bare chested and tattooed on both arms but their was a fresh tattoo on his right chest of a large bat. The man suggested the woman ly down before him, but she stood radiantly. In the second I stand below corfe castle and I am filled with affection. A small man with bad teeth stands before me diverting my attention on purpose talking small talk but he is interrupted so that I can move on.
Corfe castle was held against Cromwell by a lady mary who was admired but fell through subterfuge. It was blown up by Cromwell but the design was so good that they found it hard to accomplish. Even in ruins it is beautiful. As the walls of the church are demolished it simply let's more light in to admire.

Humans are to take responsibility and are accountable to make their own heaven upon this earth, choosing not to for whatever selfish reasons will only result in death. For only the flesh can work the hand of God upon this earth. Just as those in the flesh who choose to be evil work the hand of evil upon this earth.

The phrase Spiritual Death does exist anywhere in the Bible and the phrase physical death does appear anywhere in the Bible as well. Many have argued that the phase separation from God means spiritual death. The Oxford dictionary defines death as ”the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person or organism ”. Most definitions speak in physical terms of death and for obvious reasons. It is something we see every day. We know that death means the end of life as we know it on earth. The person who dies no longer exists in the physical world. If we were to take this same definition and apply it to spiritual death it would read as such. ”the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the spiritual life of a person or organism. They would no longer exist in the spiritual world.
There are only two types of death seen in the Bible, physical death and second death. Which all resides in Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 20:14 and 21:18
If there is a second death by reason there must be a first death, which is physical death.

In Luke 16:19 Jesus tells us a story about the
rich man and Lazarus. In the story, both the rich man and Lazarus die (physically/leave this world). Lazarus was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom and the rich man was buried and ends up in Hades. As the story goes on the rich converses with Abraham about Lazarus as he can see him in Abraham's bosom. Even though both Lazarus and the rich man died, they were spiritually alive in two different places. There is no such thing as spiritual death mentioned in the Bible. You will always be you. You will have all of your world experiences and memories when you die physically. You will be you and you alone.
Now some will argue that God told Adam and Eve that in the day that they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that in dying they would surely die. They ate from the forbidden tree and Adam did not die until he was 930
years old. Yet God said they would die on that day.
And Jehovah God layeth a charge on the man, saying, `Of every tree of the garden eating thou dost eat; and of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou dost not eat of it, for in the day of thine eating of it -- dying thou dost die.'

God told Adam in dying (action word as dying is a process) thou dost die. Adam started dying physically that day until he was 930 years old when he then died. In dying, you shall surely die, end life on the earth. Again there is no mention of the phase of spiritual death in the Bible.
