3:34 Customer states their car is possessed
3:49 Mechanics own car and they drove it in like this
4:03 Pretty crazy the quality of new parts these days
4:13 I don't know why this customer wouldn't pull over with this happening
4:28 Customer came in saying their brake pad flew off
4:35 Ended up being a bent axle
4:40 Customer stated the engine is shaking a lot
4:51 At least they signed the waiver without a fuss
5:04 Little bit overdue on this one
5:24 This drove into the shop when it probably should have been towed in
5:32 Rust belt moment
5:36 An expensive mistake even for a mechanic
5:47 Not exactly what you'd expect to find
5:23 Customer declined the work and is eventually going to pay a lot more
6:06 Customer states vehicle will only run with the clutch pedal pressed in
6:15 This gets worse the more you look
6:58 May as well replace this air compressor at this point
7:08 Super unlucky for this customer as this rodent caused a ton of damage
7:24 Luckily it was caught before it declared freedom and caused more havoc
7:36 Customer was doing maintenance and found the sparkplugs swimming in pools of oil
7:47 Doesn't sound good to us so let us know
7:59 After replacing all 4 struts on their car the customer noticed this
8:07 Must be a new invention
8:11 This really could be worse like some of the other ones we've seen on here
8:30 Customer states what could this noise be? time for a new engine
8:40 Not one valve bent extremely common issues on these camshafts
8:51 Who doesn't want a steam engine
8:55 PT Cruiser life
9:09 Customer states the car just started doing this randomly
9:19 I'm honestly 50/50 on if this is a pulley or a knock
9:39 Get those pre-purchase inspections
9:44 Lexus ES350 with cut wires but the cars been fine for 2 years
9:54 Time to re-time if it the engine is still fine after this
10:11 That is one unhappy belt
10:20 Customer states they have a bit of a leak underneath their truck
10:26 A gearbox fault shouldn't cause the engine to make this noise
10:47 Who needs engine mounts anyway
10:54 A home job wiring that shorted out
11:05 Quite an odd noise so let us know what you think it is
11:21 Sounds like a steering column or universal joint sound
11:31 Tell your friends not to bling out these steering wheels
11:43 It's not duct tape but it seems to be holding
11:53 Customer was inspecting their car and found some nice RTV by their axle
11:59 Unfortunately lost their whole car to whatever caught on fire
12:06 Very expensive fix that the customer was not expecting
12:22 Customer states what is this weird noise form the engine bay
12:29 This engine was reportedly running hot before starting to make this noise
12:40 This customer is asking for a bigger bill not fixing it
13:01 Another bent axle or wheel hub
13:16 At least this is an easily accessible hose
13:27 Customer states is their car about to self destruct
13:36 That poor mowers air filter has seen better days
13:39 I wouldn't be trusting this fuel gauge
13:48 It is hard to tell so hopefully it's not blue smoke
14:07 Not exactly what you want to find coming out of your gas tank
14:16 The battery is either extremely low or has a fault
14:28 They pulled over just after seeing the temperature gauge go above 3/4ths
14:35 Customer states their carpet keeps getting wet
14:45 Customer started hearing this noise when pressing gas pedal
14:55 Customer states their car has a panting sound and rumbles at real low idle
15:06 Just a little bit warm
15:15 Could be anything such as alignment, low tire pressure or suspension
15:30 Also likely a tie rod or other suspension component
15:39 Outro

Ahh yes, good ole "Lifetime Fluds": meaning the lifetime of your vehicle will be drastically reduced if you never change them.

The Industrystandard for a "Lifetime" Oilfilling in an non Servicepart is 180000km after that you are supposed to be a good little capitalist and stop driving the old car and buy a new one. Think about those poor little CEOs they are starving if you continue to drive those old things.

3:01 Mate, that's not all rust under your carpets, some of it is free air-conditioning!

That clicking hyundai steering wheel is super common. We keep the little bushing to fix it on the shelf in our shop. Typical Hyundai/Kia quality.

Dude, thanks for the high quality video, a bunch of new clips. This is why mechanics make the money that they do

11:26 The Hyundai steering knock:
If they are indeed the same as KIA in this way alomg with others, the knock will be from the power steering motor-to-wheel coupler disintegrating. Made of rubber & with 8 spokes, we called it the "spider coupler".
As the wheel is turned by the driver, the motor turns to engage assistance & help turn the wheel. The motor & wheel spindles' teeth hit each other as the rubber is all gone.

theyre called lifetime fluids because they only want the cars to last 3-5 years.

any time a shop asks you to sign a waver should be a massive red flag.

4:17 - that's the abs control module. Same type of thing happened to my girlfriend's 09 camry. A new one is like $1500-2500, or you can get a used one off of ebay for like 130 bucks and undo the 1 computer plug and 4 tiny 5mm bolts holding it on, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and bolt the "new" one on.
9:10 - same thing
Last clip is a saturn Ion! woot woot!

I still change my oil every 5000 miles. My 07 Saab 9-3 Aero wagon 6spd with 178k miles is still on the original turbo.

If you’re wondering how coolant leaks into the transmission, it’s a failed radiator. Radiators tend to have two circuits in them, one for the coolant, the other for the transmission fluid.

2:57 Looks like it's mould-sand from when the engine-block was cast, but normally all this material is removed by sand-blasting prior to any machining taking place!

A good, honest mechanic is like having a good doctor. While I understand it, I hate how it’s so hard to work on modern cars without special tools or computers. I also feel for the mechanics since it can take a long time to find out exactly what the electrical issue is on a modern car.

7:54 -- even the fly on the hood of the vehicle didn't believe it was normal.

When dash lights flicker or surge when cranking or while driving the alternator and or battery is the culprit. Whether they are brand new or not…… and that new ford bronco is def not supposed to sound like that!? Timing tensioner or cam phasers..

Maybe it's on a Euro model I'm not familiar with, but Ford doesn't use nonserviceable transfer cases. The ones in the 3.5 Ecoboost Taurus/Explorer/Flex are very difficult to access and usually require the rear catalytic converter to be removed to get to the fill hole, but they can still be serviced. Most likely that the shops they took it to just told them it has "lifetime" fluid because the job is a pain in the ass and likely too expensive for the customer to consider anyway. Or they just wanted the extra profit from replacing the t-case entirely later on
