Bias Incident Awareness for the Asian Community

The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, US Department of Justice Community Relations Service, US Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey and the NJ Bias Crime Officers Association will present a Bias Incident/Crime Virtual Awareness session as it relates to the Asian community. This training covers how to Recognize, Respond to and Report a Bias Incident or Crime. The program will focus on the steps and procedures that take place once a bias incident is reported until completion. It will also examine the impact on bias incidents as a result of the current COVID-19 situation. The session will provide the audience with a greater understanding of the differences between a bias crime and a bias incident. Most importantly, it will cover how to report a bias incident and resources that are available to the community.
