Mine was trusting my local bike shop too much instead of watching Doddy's videos and getting the spanners out

Too many people start out on fancy bikes, harder to work on, and often means they have less appreciation for them, I am actually happy that I started out on Walmart bikes👍

I have a decathlon bike but my main mistake was not trying things, I had to just be more confident in my bike and myself

I would say apart from not maintaining gears and chains, wearing thin skate shoes or sneakers has hurt the top of my feet many times (smashing a foot with the metal pedal with a too loose chain). Looking into getting my first pair of actual MTB flat, stiff shoes. Still debating which ones to get though, as most of them still look like safety shoes. Also, should have always gotten good puncture resistant tires, would have saved many flats lol.

Mine was trusting the brakes of a 300€ bike after I’ve done more than a 1000km on it… so never cheap out on brakes
