I’m from the south in the US, and we say something similar. We’ll say idn’it.

We have said idnit or ainit in the southern states for centuries. It is improper speech only used among colloquial people. Boy, do we have some doozies for colloquialisms!

No, you're conflating the use of English in made-for-America shows with the language used on the streets. Also, there is no 'British' accent. Britain has 4 countries each with very distinct accents.
