The fact Matthew is a Master Marble maker makes these turn out ultra nice.

I was NOT EXPECTING this! Very nice, screw others opinions on polishing, this is much more beautiful.

Matthew you are an artist and a craftsman. They always look so much more beautiful after you restore them. I still keep some beat up marbles but some I like to have you restore. Those turned out amazing.

We have been digging our family farm that was built in 1873 and marbles are our favorite find. We have a jar full from clay to modern. Might try polishingsome newer ones but the older hand made will stay in the display case.

You do wonderful work. I was wondering if you provide this service, for a fee of course. I have a couple of old German that could use a little polishing.

Rat rod or finest kind of custom car. Best analogue I can come up with.

Those are nice Hey have you watched Rocks Cousteau doing his awesome marble digs on trash dumps? He also finds those German hand made spiral swirls like yours in this video

Have you taken before and after measurements of the marbles, like diameter or weight? I'd be curious to know how much (or rather how little) loss there is when polishing. I see both sides of the debate, but that shine and detail afterwards is just breathtaking! Fantastic work - thank you for sharing!

Quick question: with such precise work like this, how do people know marbles have been polished and ground? I know one method is by looking at the pintails to see if the lines no longer meet at the poles, but neither of these marbles look to be affected that way at all. Incredible job.

Do you offer this as a service? I have a large German Swirl I would like to pay to have polished.

Please comment, Where do I get the components to build such a specialized piece of equipment? Or does it make sense to send them out to you or some other person like you?
