So helpful for a very fresh newbie. Thank you. I found a “wirey” (I think that’s what you called the two you showed) and I couldn’t figure out what category it was. And I had no idea the blue with single white line were hand mades so I’d put them in the “non valueable pile” so they’ll be moving outta there 😂 gonna watch your other videos now.

Nice collection. I like those half transparent marbkes with complex multicolor insides. I would love to see how those were made. Nice work. Thanks for the great video! Few more small pieces of history and kraftmanship saved recorded and shared.❤

I have been dump digging for years and I find thousands of marbles but I have never found a German hand made one.

The marble from the UK was 99% likely made in Germany but was included originally in a solitaire set made for the British market and sold in the UK.

German hand made marbles are some of my all time favorites. My dad's sister got me a nice 2.5'' Latticinio swirl for my Birthday this year. I just subbed as well

A big thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm in my 50s, from the UK and my friends and I were all into playing marbles at little school. (JOKES: Yes! But weren't you the teacher?)
Now I've just rekindled my enthusiasm for marbles and it is because I go to the equivalent of 'yard sales' in the UK (car boot sales). I've just picked up an antique German 1+1/4" latticinio marble for $1/£1. Although, it does have some small play worn chips taken out of it. There're great to hunt for and collect.

I have my grandfather & father's marble collection. My grandfather came to Texas in 1876 at the age of 8 & my father was born in 1926. I just recently started examining them closely. They are works of art. I'm sure i have several like the one's you're showing here. Thanks..

Wow these are superb😮. I’m new to the marble collecting Scene. Just recently I stumbled across something quite different. It is a caramel colour with white swirls through the centre and outside. There is a small pin point indentation on it. Do you have any pointers regarding identifying it? Many thanks from New Zealand 😊

Still wondering which marble on that gaming board wasn't a German handmade. I'm not a marble collector so I'm not sure. I do have some German hand made marbles and some others from when I was young. And occasionally I find one when I'm out metaldetecting (eyes only finds).

Is it lobbed core or divided core? What's the difference?

My dad is 71 he's been collecting marbles for at least 30 years he tells everyone in our small home town that if you lose your marbles come see me I found them. He had me hooked almost from day one we used to go look at old home places where homes have been torn down or burned we go there find old marbles all the time good just dad and son time he played marbles or shot marbles when he was a child but we both love marbles he has a truckload I mean a big truck load of marbles

Hey pal this video is great. Is it naive to say the best marble video I've ever seen is the first video I've ever seen ? I did seek a marble video because I've acquired a nice collection of what I believe to be German hand made. Now I am new to the marble world that would not be the case for collecting rare and obscure. So I'm confident I am at least 50% on the mark as to what I may have. I'm intrigued and amazed at the art and skill. I believe you may know more about this do you have an email or Instagram?
