Thanks. I purchased my UB-9000 in November, 2021. It was an excellent investment and I haven't had any issues with it. Along with it I bought a Samsung 75" 8K monitor and a LG Soundbar system that's Dolby Atmos & DTS-X certified. It took me a long time and a lot of hard work before I was financially able to purchase this system in cash. Well, I had to charge it initially; including extra for delivery and setup. By all means I'm not bragging because for many years I was never able to do this. In the past I charged a lot of stuff and sometimes I was only able to pay the minimum monthly fees. That's a lot of money in interest.

Just got 9000 and as part of setup, install FW 1.76. While wifi dwnld was slow, display flashed 3/5 for a long time with no directions aa to what would happen if and when it finished process. Finally it stopped flashing and said FINISH or FINISHED then WELCOME.

Hello. At 1.45 min. i see that you have installed the pioneer elite over the panasonic ub 9000. In terms of overheating of the panasonic, do you have any problems? Now that it's cold, I'm thinking of putting the pioneer dvd player I have, over the panasonic. I bought self-adhesive pads for the Pioneer dvd player 2.5 cm height, to be as far away as possible from the panasonic. My tv rack is front and back open but left closed and right semiclosed.But after April i must remove the dvd player again?

Hey David. I have a barely used region free 4K Panasonic UB820 that as of this week will not open. The tray will literally not come out. I have unplugged the machine, I have tried the locks etc., and the tray will not come out. Any chance this latest firmware update will allow the tray to open again??

Hey David ! Recently the disc drawer on my Panasonic Ub420 stopped working. I opened up today to get my trapped 4k disc out but upon putting back together the eject button still isn’t opening up the drawer. Any suggestions? I’m at a loss here so any help is appreciated! Thanks! Dylan

I saw this just now and checked tonsee if it updated automatically and it did. Read 1.76. I double checked and tried to update anyways but it said it was already up to date. I have it set to auto update.

I had problems with playback on 2001 A Space Odyssey despite no visible issues with the disc, we’ll see if this helps

Got the prompt to update while I had the disk drive open and accepted it, not even thinking. It wouldn't let me cancel so I was worried it was going to mess something up. Fortunately it closed the drive automatically after the download and before the update applied. Definitely wont do that again. Glad they had the foresight to plan for idiots like me lol.

After a few days now, have you noticed anything at all that could explain what the benefit was via the update?

The update did not fix my UB 9000 player it will still not read any 4K UHD Discs. Regular Blu-ray and DVDs play fine. I am still experiencing pixelation and glitches on some 4K titles on my UB 820 as well even after the update. I have never had these issues with my now eight-year-old OPPO 203. I have opened a service ticket on the now out-of-warranty UB 9000 and will be sending it to Florida hopefully they can repair this $1000 paperweight.

It seems that this update stopped reading my discs. And all my discs does read my 4k and blu ray discs I'm very upset about this!!

I hope this version finally fixed the Netflix app and out of sync lips. Also the casual frame drops

As I understand it, the firmware did not solve the problem with hanging up. USB is also cut down in the middle of the movie.
