The issue with AI art, in my opinion, is not who has access to use it. It's whether the people managing the system should have access to everything else. And some of them have basically admitted that they're in the "ask forgiveness instead of permission" camp. And because it's so widespread, they basically think they have impunity to do as they wish because it's too inconvenient for most people to bother asking to have their stuff removed from their training sets.
