TOPAZ PHOTO AI gets another UPDATE and this is Version 1.0.9. You can now Drag and Drop images from File Folders into TOPAZ PHOTO Ai. I am also exploring the Tool Tips in PHOTO AI, which I find are very helpful.

Improving rapidly. I can see my work flow as photo ai, on1, finished with Radiant. Good result in really good photos

I probably would not have even found those tool tips unless I stumbled on them. I am finding that I use PAI on almost all my images. (Flow is basics in LrC>PS>duplicate image>PAI). I like noiseless, quite sharp images for my landscapes and PAI is just TOO easy. 😁 Keep 'em coming

Thanks Dave. The updated is running poorly on my iMac. It takes about 10 minutes to process an image. It was only a few seconds before. If no one else has noticed this I probably need to try reinstalling the update. Not your problem. I only mention it in case others are having this problem.

Hi Dave, thanks for another great video. Please let us know or make a video if you decide if/how to change your workflow to process RAW images first - before importing to Lr or Ps. Very interested in that idea as I have seen some wildlife photographers processing RAW images in other software before importing to Lr/Ps.

Thanks as aways for a great video! I wish that Topaz adds the crop tool to Photo AI like Gigapixel has.

Thank you for the tutorial. The tooltips-tip is very interesting!

Dave, as mentioned in a reply to a comment below, I started using PAI as per: "In LrC go to File>Plug-In Extras>Process with Photo AI. It will send the raw file for processing and return a processed raw file to Lightroom. The returned raw file can then be edited in LrC". I am early on in this process, but I have noticed some over sharpening(subjective but to me they were). Then I noticed that when going to the LrC develop module LrC is adding on another "level 40" of sharpening. This appears to be the culprit. If you find this is the case too, it might be mentioned in the next video on is really becoming huge in my editing workflow, in large part because of your informative videos on the product. So a big thank you....

When editing from LR and Windows 10, I leave all the dfault settings and then send back to photoshop. Here's my two issues. The new edited image is a dng file now and it's stacked with the original Raw image, forcing me to "unstack" as an additional step. (If I had cropped prior to sending to Topax Photo, the returing DNG does npt have the crop edit applied) Once unstacked, the dng is now in Version 1 Calibration of LR rather thasn the current version 5 again adding a step. Am I missing something? Grear video Dave and keep the coming....

That's a great update. One feature I'd like to see added is the ability to choose a set size on say, the smaller side of an image. I take a lot of runner pictures as I'm a track/Cross Country coach. Now, when I import a batch to process, have to set the manually set the size for each one. It'd be really helpful and speed the process if that were automatic.

Hi Dave.. the new update works great as a stand alone but it continually crashes taking Ps with it when I use it as a plug-in from Ps… But great image quality still. Love the batch editing… But have to amend my workflow…

can you make Actions now like before on Topaz Adj 5? I'm still using Adjust 5 and it's awesome to run 2-3 presets actions at once.

Thanks Dave for creating and sharing this video. I enjoyed your 'walk-through' of the enhancements made to Photo AI. I am starting to include this application more often in my post-processing routine. Keep well . . . Keith

Hi Dave, thx for the quality of your tips ! I have tried this version on lightroom and my latest photos are not recognized by the program as raw files for the lumix GH6 RW2. What tips do you give me in this case? Dan

The RAW NR is great. However, my workflow is 1. Remove Noise, 2. Do things in LR (mask, adjust etc.) then 3. Sharpen image prior to final output. Since PhotoAI does NR and Sharpen all at once, can I run AI twice once before and once after LR? (Once with sharpen off, and the after LR with sharpen on)

I like Photo ai but most of the time i use the individual apps. Getting better results that way.

Thank you, Dave. I have got to a point when I see an update from photo AI, I don’t bother to read whats it about, I just update and wait for your tutorial about it. 😅

Dave, under friends we both know that Photoshop with plugins like TK8 and the golden three from Topaz works very fine. I have Photo AI too, caus I own all the three, and I think that Photo AI has problems on monitor using HDR - my Nvidia card driver crashed than. I love your videos and hope you will bring out TK8 and Nik 5 again and again ;)

Great info as usual Dave. I wonder if Photo AI performs as well when working on raw files as opposed to as a pluggin from PL5, LR or whatever editing software. If better via raw files, then Topaz should allow sending the processed files to the final editing software via pluggin instead of having to reload them into an editing software. Keep up instructing us|

Hi Dave great review thank you - I am thinking about getting TOPAZ JPEG to RAW and would love to get your thoughts - i.e is it just a fad in that some say one cannot recover detail from a JPEG file or with AI it is possible. Your thoughts?
